We should have an online referendum where the people in U.K. can vote on important matters.
The first could be , should this bank chiefs pay be cut by 25% so that he can feel what it’s like to have less income than you are used to.

Better – reduce it to the £25k which is roughly the average adult wage in the UK.

I’ve never understood why these people get paid so much.
My mum was an HR Manager.
She never had to provide cover when the managing director was away on holiday, but she absolutely did ig the guy/woman who cleaned the toilets was off.
I could never understand why someone so absolutely vital to the safe running of the factory was paid so little.

LOL. Yep. Good idea.
His boss is on half a million a year. I wonder how he will cope.
I’m more worried to be honest, that Charlie will have to pay off his sock ironer or his toilet seat carrier…
Can you just imagine the horror…

Old quote from Warren Buffet.
For the last 10 years there’s been an economic war for the control of money.
My side is winning.
The other side Don’t realise there’s a war on.

Sure tis just a coincidence considering what paper this is…BUT….that headline and then Chocolate Charlie pictured next to that headline…. 100 million squid being spent of tax payers money for his vanity project Coronation while some insensitive well off moron from the BOE telling the peasants (subjects…lower class ones) to be submissive and accept poverty …..
I mean THAT (among many other examples) kinda exemplifies the absolute ridiculousness and elite culture within their Tory Brexit UK aka Absurdistan….does it not……..#NotMyKing ….#NotMyUK
Have a nice day/evening everyone

If only it was just £100,000,000, NMRN.
In fact it is much more. Security costs are never divulged, because it might give terrorists ideas about what security was operating…
All the people that have been invited… the security costs will be astronomical.
And then there is the cost to the economy of a bank holiday which the government has estimated at over a billion pound’s (although some think it will only be around £800,000,000).
I don;t think they are expecting vast numbers of tourist from abroad because Charlie and Mrs Parker Bowles don’t excite the same level of interest as the real queen.
Many of the tourists will be England… and that will only be of advantage to London.
As I may have said before, I’m hoping for rain.

I’m not going ,so the can save some security costs there.

LOL. We must let them know immediately.
They can use the extra money to pay for the makeover that Mrs Parker Bowles is having to make her look glamorous at the clowning.

That’s the problem these days the POOR have forgotten their station in life..is to be POOR at least the Tory’s are rectifying that misconception ..
After all what do you imagine Brexit was for .. silly 😜 Billy’s
As Andrea Leadsom says why trade with the company down the road when thanks to Brexit you can trade with someone 14 thousand miles away….
Why are we Poorer… Tory misrule is why.. with some help from new Labour

Agreed, Niko.
Never mind the unnecessary pollution and the lower standards of hygiene in foods.
It’s only for the already very poor. I’m sure the king and Mrs Parker Bowles will have their food flown in from somewhere organic.

Notice it seems to be milk chocolate and not my preference dark chocolate.
Still worth keeping as it has a certain resemblance to the clown’s number.
Lots of new police it seems but no question of how many have completed the 3 week course and when.

They get a whole three weeks’ training?

Paid thugs don’t need a lot of ‘training’…

Three weeks Dave? Is that all it is? In ancient days, at least in Scotland, it was four months.

Ah! the old Tulliallan course.
First week was learning to iron the shirts, properly and present yourself in the uniform.
Lots of fitness training and learning to march.
The englander police just don’t seem to need that they just turn up in anything.
The training for fitness has been dropped.

As I really from seeing the photographs of some of the new recruits, fitness is definitely NOT an issue.

Here’s something that ‘ordinary’ fowk can surely connect with on one of the downsides of Tory UK Brexit.
Have you noticed how supermarket shelves are a tad bare irrespective of when or at what time you go to the supermarket.
Some items you bought PRE Brexit are now no longer there !…I mean they have literally disappeared from the shelves….
I mean I have heard that some businesses can no longer get parts that previously they sourced from the EU…….because of red tape, increased costs etc……so business people can see the impact to their respective companies via Brexit…..
BUT for the ‘ordinary’ person who previously bought specific items now no longer available surely some people must be asking why ?……though do not ask a Tory….they will say tis all to do with the War in Ukraine…..but this was happening BEFORE the invasion of Ukraine which happened in 2022…..it started after we officially left the EU in 2020….
Supermarkets are doing their best to try and make it appear as if it looks as if there is MORE on their shelves…..but it is so obvious as there is gaps on their shelves and also some supermarkets are squeezing items together to make it appear as if full……
I go shopping once a week for weekly shop…have done for years and now I have a limited choice compared to PRE Brexit……sometimes it’s like shopping in a country that is seeing rations because of some major event…..and IT is that….the major event being Brexit.
I am amazed that more people are not questioning this……together with some items now being downsized but the price being increased……when do you think enough will be enough for MORE people…..personally I have passed the point of tolerance on this……( did my weekly shop today…poor hubby had to listen me moaning at poor choice… yet again…. on offer at supermarket and don’t get me started on the state of the fruit……..tasteless and not fit for purpose)……
Off me soapbox (for) now……but God there is really absolutely NOWT positive, good or worthwhile in this absolute S*** (rhymes with PIT) hole that they call the UK and also call Great Britain…..Great my A*** (rhymes with SPARSE…and is too….literally).
You either rant or self combust……well for me anyway…..that is the choice….LOL

Also true, NMRN.
Many things you can’t get, and half empty fruit and veg shelves, and the prices are ridiculous.
Of course that doesn’t affect the people who run the country.
But for people who are poor and whose largest expenditures are food, heating, housing and council tax, life has become pretty miserable.
Britain has become a bin.

As well as members of the Official Wing of the Conservative Party, let’s not forget their members in the more radically Tory Provisional Wings: the likes of Labour MP Gisela Stewart who made sure her offspring had EU passports before weighing in behind Brexit to show what a British jack waggler she is. I don’t suppose she’s made a penny (bar expenses) out of her Brexit adventure.
And look! It’s the Sanctimonious Wing of the Imperial Tory Party that used to be called the Liberals – those lifelong sophisticated Europhiles: “Bonjour Señor, dzień dobry, Meine Gnädige signorina.”
‘Opposition’ ‘leaders’ Sir Liberal and Sir Labour are glad things have settled down in a lovely British way. If only the Great British could invent a time machine where John Mills, Anthony Steele and Vera Lynn could sort out those damned neighbours who insist on being better off and happier than us. Oooh… how very dare they!

Keir Starmer’s spokesman has told the Byline Times that “Keir Starmer Now Opposes Scrapping Westminster’s Voting System for PR “…..in Blow for Reformers….His spokesman told Byline Times
chief reporter that the Labour Leader has a “long-standing view against PR”……
If you read the likes of Femi on twitter and t’others you will have noted that PR was of huge significance to them …..as was their huge opposition to Brexit…seems like Labour HQ just keeps ticking ALL of the boxes for reasons NOT to vote Labour in England as well as Scotland…..they should have all listened (YET AGAIN) to us here in Scotland….just like we telt them about the BBC bias………..
Guess the recent poll released this month asking if Starmer looks like a Prime Minister-in-waiting?….. reflects his (bad) Tory tribute act……. as 51% people said he does not against 29% who say he does (diehard Labour supporters)…….
WORST , incompetent and most CORRUPT Tory government NOW post a succession of previous just as bad Tory governments and leaders and STILL Labour and their chosen leader seems unappealing, unelectable and perhaps about to snatch defeat from what was touted as being the jaws of victory……oh dear what a shame…..NOT……..perhaps they might consider becoming a party that is distinct from the Tories as opposed to channelling their inner Poundshop one……they’ll go into overdrive now in Scotland trying to con us that they will be the next UK government……and that OUR vote matters…..it does…but only for them to gloat and declare independence is dead should they undeservedly gain seats here….winning a majority in next UK GE perhaps not so much given recent downward spiral in polls between them and the Tories……
Labour the party that keeps giving (us)…NOTHING …worthwhile.

Day by day they get more and more Tory.
I’m trying to think of a policy where they are actually REALLY different, and I can’t fine one.
They aren’t against the Lords, or the Monarchy, so they want to keep the class system up and running and clearly believe that some are simply better than the rest of us.
They don;t believe in PR, because that would give minor parties a chance to get the representation that represents their vote share.
They don’t support the trades unions.
They don’t support rejoining the EU… and I assume support the farcical trade deals that the Tories brag about with countries across the other side of the world.
They sing GSTK instead of the Red Flag.
They don;t support allowing Scotland another referendum, despite all the lies that the last one was fought on and the massive change in our circumstances since, ie removal of Scotland from the EU against “the will of the people”.
Really, they should join the Tories and be done.
