We did have another picture, but the place name could be seen… so we had to scrap that. However, we have a photograph of a bird we saw that day sitting by the side of the road and I was wondering, can anyone identify it

I’m having real problems with my computer freezing over and over, so I’m going to buy a new one. If this one completely freezes up, have no fear, I will get back as soon as I’m back on line.

AS IF EPSTEIN AND TRAFFICKING GIRLS WASN’T ENOUGH…

Just like Mandy, he seems to have used his privileged position to aid Epstein

It seems to me that both ex-lord Mandelson and ex-prince Andrew really need to be in court. These are very serious crimes and deserve more that simply being denied some ridiculous styles and titles.

I’d have hoped that, at their level, this would call for prison sentences.

In response to the news, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “The king has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct.

“While the specific claims in question are for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police we stand ready to support them as you would expect.” (From Yahoo News)

SO, HOW’S BREXIT COMING ALONG?

Remember what they promised about Brexit?

We were apparently going to save £350 a week, which would go to our NHSs throughout Britain. We’d take back control of borders. There was no way that we would leave the single market. It would lower household costs and scrap VAT on household power. We’d take back control of fishing.

We held all the cards when it came to deals so we could do wonderful deals and get whatever WE wanted.

Of course most of what they said was nonsense, echoed by the Mail, Express, Sun, Telegraph. All the foreign hating press.

In fairness, Johnson also spouted that nonsense.

In fact the £350 million was a massive lie, firstly because we didn’t pay that much because of the rebates that had been negotiated by Thatcher and Blair. Additionally the far smaller figure neglected to take into consideration that there were all manner of grants and funds that we took advantage of… farming, fishing, social funding, construction, development. Also there were organisations that we shared throughout the community, that we would be obliged to fund alone once were were outside the community.

The border control is a bit of a joke, as immigration has soared following our leaving and we now have no automatic method of returning people to the EU.

We did leave the single market, because as any fool could have told you at the time, the market had 4 constituent parts which were/are:

Freedom of movement of Goods (prohibiting customs duties and quantitative restrictions, allowing products to move freely without extra tariffs or quotas). Freedom of movement of Services (allowing companies and professionals to offer services across borders (temporary) or establish businesses (permanent) in other member states).

Freedom of movement of Finance (allowing investments, purchases, and monetary transfers, such as buying property or shares in another EU country, without restrictions).

And finally People (allowing EU citizens to live, work, study, and retire in any member state, guaranteeing non-discrimination regarding employment, pay, and conditions…knocking taking back control of borders on the head).

(Of course Norway, along with Liechtenstein and Iceland are in the EEA and as such are in the single market and abide by most EU rules. Switzerland, the other example given also is in the single market through EFTA.)

(5 years old and there have been some changes, but largely correct and interesting)

Household costs have not been lowered and VAT remains on heating bills.

We have not taken control of fishing.

So…What do you make of this?

Most of the deals that have been made have been less than great… considering all the Jokers, erm I mean cards, we held!! None of our trade secretaries was up to much and the deals that Truss made with Australia and New Zealand were laughable.

The Liberal Democrats have recently issued this statement, indicating that instead of gaining £350 million a week, we are actually losing £250 million a DAY or £1,750,000 a week.

Great deal, huh?

And this is very much worth watching. Bagging up and binning Farage and Jenkyns. Note, Femi swears at the end.

Random Thoughts

Everything he touches…

He is saying, of course, that he’s closing it for renovations because it has been allowed to go to ruin under Biden. So he’s completely remodelling it, presumably with the ghastly tasteless gold plated tat that he’s covered the White Bordello at 1600 Trump Avenue in.

The truth is above. Almost no one will appear there and closing it for renovations is much less embarrassing than having it open and empty.

What are your priorities: Hungry kids or very slightly cheaper beer?

The average cost of a pint of beer in the UK is approximately £5.17, with prices typically ranging from £4.21 in Wales to over £5.50 in London as of mid-2025. Prices vary significantly by location and brand, with popular lagers often costing between £4.50 and £6.50 in pubs, though budget options exist.

Trump says he will reduce the price by 5p by re-introducing the two-child cap.

So, that will make a big difference… to hungry kids. Thank goodness for the child payment in Scotland.
