SOPPY SUNDAY

1. Awwww.
2. I don’t mind giving up the top slot to my cute little cousin.
3. Who’s the king of the garden?
3. Is there anyone in this restaurant here serving hungry little Rabilargo birds?
5. Orphans need someone to raise them.
5. Thank you for rescuing me.
6. Baobab, arbre de la vie.
7. Let’s see if you can guess what kind of animal I am.
8. Mr Robbie. Munguin’s head groundsman, berating Tris for slacking with his phone whilst he (Robbie) is partaking in a snack (fat ball, especially for him) at the same time. Versatile bird.
9. The head thistle at Loch Lomond.
10. Hello. I’m a new baby at Des Moines, Iowa.
11. Dig that bit over there. I saw a lot of little creepy crawlies over there… chop chop, under-gardener. You just can’t get the staff these days. Bring back the Europeans.
12. You have been warned.
13. More hungry beaks for Munguin to feed…
14. I may look sweet but I can be a tough lil bird! I do look sweet, don’t I?
15. One of Scotland’s less spectacular bridges.
16. I’m watching you…
17. Could you liven it up please, Tris. This is boring.
18. Algiers, rather Parisian.
19. Difficult to find a more noble cause.
10. Another Soppy Sunday over and done with. When I’m bigger maybe I’ll get to host it.

Thanks to Hetty, Dave and Tatu.

  1. Thanks Tris…all so lovely, so much cuteness and beauty. I love elephants, and they are so intelligent, as are most animals actually, except for most humans.
I could send a pic of our extra bonny cat who loves cuddling up to his new furry fox toy from ‘keep the ban’ campaign. He does a cute pose at bedtime, which involves lying on his side with paws curved in a heart shape, just wish he wouldn’t wake me at 6am though, just as well he’s cute!

Have a good Sunday all, I wonder if Monday’s weather will be suitable for allotmenting, hope so. 🙂

    1. I’m sure PP would appreciate a pic of your cat, Hetty.

It’s really cold here. Munguin had the heating on last night and today doesn’t look any better.

Still Robbie will turn up for work as usual…so I’d better get some digging done.

  2. And breathe! SS was much needed this week and did not disappoint. It was very good of the orangutan to cede first place today and for much a cheering story. It was a balm for the soul, it was. Nature is wonderful but unless we homo sapiens change our ways it won’t be wonderful for much longer!

Anyway we’ve not had enough King Charles this week, so here’s a short video. 🙂

    1. Brilliant pp. As a lover of C.K.C.Ss, just have one at the moment, it fairly cheered me up, considering all, what I describe as madness, we’re going through at the moment.
And many thanks to all providing such lovely photographs.

    1. No 7 is a kind of antelope:

      A klipspringer … African antelope
Weighing just 22 to 40 pounds and standing only about 20 inches tall at the shoulder, the klipspringer is an extremely small African antelope species. But with four hooves—each about as big around as a dime—this pint-sized rock hopper can jump onto a spot the size of an Oreo cookie.

  3. Great pics….

Nature and animals an antidote for many… to all of the worse things done and said by men and women ( and NOT just the ones in power either)……

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone…..

    🙂

  4. Feed the ducks by all means but not the pigeons – they REALLY don’t need any help.

They are the #1 agricultural pest in the UK and their numbers have increased by over 3000% since 1990 (that’s not a typo either). They utterly devastate areas they populate for other bird, small mammal and insect species as they eat pretty much all the vegetation they can find.

About the only plus side of them is they provide food for corvids when they die.

    1. Oh good someone else who doesn’t like pigeons. It’s not just me! Wood pigeons are okay – quite majestic but the ordinary ones are flying rats…
