DO THOSE TWO AGREE ABOUT ANYTHING AT ALL?

ARE THEY EVEN IN THE SAME PARTY?

alabour-dissonence

Of course, politicians don’t always agree about everything, but it seems to me that these two don’t agree about anything. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Rien. Dad!

Kezia, according to her boss, is trying to sell us a union where the best possible redistribution of wealth comes in at the “worst levels” of most of the OECD countries.

Really, Kezia, try to stop treating us like morons. If you have something really positive to say about the union with Britain, then saying it. If you don’t, if all you have are tired old platitudes, then could you move over and make way for someone who’s bothered to do some actual research.

With misery, or that she would of late
Have taught to ignorant men most violent ways,
Or hurled the little streets upon the great,
Had they but courage equal to desire?
What could have made her peaceful with a mind
That nobleness made simple as a fire,
With beauty like a tightened bow, a kind
That is not natural in an age like this
Being high and solitary and most stern?
Why, what could she have done, being what she is?
Was there another Troy for her to burn?”

Labour are a shambles as we all know and they are still fighting for the direction of the party. Scottish Labour are pretty much gubbed to be honest and Kezia Dugdale is gone not long after May would be my guess. I can’t see Findlay standing again for the leadership and given that they only really have yoons left at the top this would point to Rowley not getting it, I have heard a couple of members say he is not trusted as some think he is sympathetic to independence so we are looking at Sarwar if Kezia falls and that is just the gift that keeps giving.

What would be interesting is if Corbyn can really get control of Labour in England then start to look at Scotland and that might change some of the dynamics about who leads etc but time will tell. Right now they are all over the place and remind me of the Tories before Cameron when they just reacted to that days headline and were all over the place. The Unite leadership vote will play a part also, I’ll have a vote as a member and will probably go for McCluskey to be honest as the other guy standing is a Blairite by the sound of things and that I can’t stand although I must admit the only trade union leader I had any time for was Bob Crow.

    Thanks

    1. As a natural Labour voter I take no pleasure from the mess that they are in.

I’m angry actually that they have completely given up any pretence at opposing the Tories in England, being miles too busy opposing themselves, and frankly the shambles they are in Scotland in laughable.

Interesting Daily Record piece that Arbroath put up. I can see why they wouldn’t want to change leader again, but truly, Ms Dugdale is worse than useless.

They really have to get a leader who can lead and who sounds like he or she knows what they’re doing.

From the outside looking in I reckon Mr McC is yer best bet.

You really don’t want Blairites. They are Tories with red ties that like invading Arab countries for no real reason.

    1. Well, seriously, you wouldn’t expect them to have solidarity with foreigners.

Remember what a state Mrs Curran got in when she thought her son might be a foreigner because he was in England during term time. Even the slight touch of “foreign” filled the Shadow Scottish Secretary with utter horror.

Still, at least at that time the Shadow Scottish Secretary was at least a Scot, in a Scottish constituency.

I wonder what Curran thinks of the English Shadow Scottish Secretary
