No 11 is a picture of Cosmos. They’re half-hardy annuals and rather splendid.

Nicobar pigeon, brilliant; do you think Niko is so garish?

Jeeeeez… you should see him on a Saturday night. He puts Mrs Niko to shame. Like an explosion in a paint factory!

well after the week we’ve had, Soppy Sunday comes as a pleasant relief. Some corkers – I’ve finally seen a pigeon I like – can’t they all be that colourful! Instead of those grey minging things. No 6 is cute – a fluffy joy – is it a baby blackbird? And as for no12 – what can I say….
No 20 – I never see such lovely sights at the bus stop. But then again I’m not in Sumatra or Borneo…

I’m not sure what 6 is. I suspect he/she is a chicken/hen. I’ve not seen a baby baby blackbird. By the time they fledge (I see them every year as I have a group of them for breakfast lunch and dinner) they are really like adult birds, but brown. I bet one of our knowledgeable Munguinites will know.

Panda Paws,
What you say is true. After a completely horrible week, Soppy Sunday always cheers me up.

Many years ago, a rather refreshed mate of mine dived off that bridge at The Hermitage.
It was a pretty stupid thing to do, as the channel is very narrow with no room for error.

Ouch. Kids terrify me. They know no fear. Unlike me who was scared of everything and still am!
